SGSL Field Clean Up & Mandatory Player Meeting

Hello All!

FIELD CLEAN UP

We are optimistically crossing our fingers that we will be able to do Field Clean Up this weekend.  There will be a lot to do, so we hope that you can make it.  Please bring rakes (and shovels) and small tools if you have them.

Our first try will be Saturday, March 21st  - starting at 9:00 AM, if most of the snow has cleared but if Saturday is raining we will try again on Sunday, March 22nd  at 12:00 PM.

We will update the website by Friday afternoon.  www.sgsl.info

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, or we still have significant snow on the ground, Our reschedule date will be Saturday, March 28th at 9:00 AM

Our goal is to get the fields open as soon as possible so that teams can have more than a week to practice before the games begin.  We are going to need as many hands as possible to get this done.

MANDATORY PLAYER LEAGUE MEETING

The league meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 24th at Derynoski School.  Rookie, Farm, Minor and Majors will start in the AUDITORIUM this year.  Senior High will start in the CAFETERIA.

Times vary by division:

6:30 p.m. - Rookie, Farm, and Minor Divisions

7:30 p.m. - Major Division

8:30 p.m. - Senior High Division

Players will meet their coaches and teammates, receive their uniform shirt and bag, get their practice and game schedules, as well as their assigned concession stand duty and other league information.

Thank you.

April 2015 BOD Meeting - Tuesday April 14th 8:00 PM

The SGSL April Board Meeting will be held on April 14, 2015 at 8:00 PM at Meeting Room, Panthorn Park (above concession stand).  All parents and coaches are encouraged to attend.

The SGSL is governed by a Board of Directors (BOD) that is comprised of approximately 15-20 parents and other volunteers to coordinate all aspects of the league.  The BOD meets monthly to discuss and decide on all aspects of the league, including division creation, player/team assignment process, uniforms, special events and other important league activities.  The BOD welcomes and needs more members to continue the success of the league.  Guests are always welcome at board meetings or parents can help by joining one of the several committees that are forming.  If you are interested in joining a committee or would like additional information regarding the board, please talk to any board member or league officer.
